Government Focused on Security Reforms

12102017 2

The government of Macedonia is already focused on pursuing reforms in the security system, including the Security and Counterintelligence Administration and the Law on Interception of Communications. This has been stated by the government's press service after mounting public interest in relation to a decision of the government to forward an opinion to the Constitutional Court - after the Court has made the request - involving the suspension of a procedure to review the constitutionality of Article 175 of the Law on Interception of Communications. Therefore, it adds, the government at a session on October 10 passed an opinion that the Constitutional Court should suspend a procedure reviewing the constitutionality of Article 175 of the Law on Interception of Communications, because the initiative is deemed partial and falling short of approaching the matter comprehensively.
